In the aftermath of the recent horrific tragedy at Stoneman Douglas High School, Behavioral Health Associates of Broward (BHAB), the Counseling Centers of Goodman Jewish Family Services, a nonprofit agency with a 56-year tradition of providing compassionate, high-quality, confidential, and effective counseling, has been working around the clock to provide emergency counseling services in the Parkland and Coral Springs community, to all people, regardless of religion or race.  Our professional counselors have been providing trauma and grief counseling in the North Broward communities since the tragedy.

The mass shooting may be over, but the significant need for ongoing therapy continues to grow. Many members of our community will continue to require counseling for trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD in the coming weeks and months, as they grapple with intense emotional reactions that may continue or could surface later.

We need your help.

We have launched the “Speak, Feel, Heal! campaign to enable BHAB to expand its reach and provide additional mental health counselors and resources in the days, weeks and many months to come. Funding of $150K will provide more than 3,000 individual and group counseling sessions to parents, teens, teachers and families.

You can make a difference in this time of crisis! We hope you will consider a tax-deductible donation to help us help our community in crisis. We thank you in advance for this much-needed support. #MSDStrong
